Who is Hussain fundraises for Sightsavers at half-marathon

May 2022

Social justice movement Who is Hussain is on track to raise £35,000 for Sightsavers through this year’s Sprint for Sight campaign.

Each year, the Who is Hussain central team fundraises for a particular cause, and on 26 June 2022, 16 runners will take part in a half-marathon at Richmond Park in London. The Sprint for Sight campaign is supporting Sightsavers’ work in Pakistan, helping people like Sardar access vital eye care services and treatment to protect and restore their sight.

Who is Hussain empowers people around the world to organise activities for charitable causes, including fundraising events, blood donation drives, and distributing food and clothing. The charity is named after the Islamic Prophet Muhammad’s grandson Hussain, who stood by his principles and demonstrated selflessness.

To support the runners and help Who is Hussain reach its target, you can make a donation via the JustGiving page.
