Eye care group WALDO teams up with Sightsavers

June 2021

Global eye care company WALDO is funding vital treatment for people in need as part of a new partnership with Sightsavers.

As part of its Buy One, Give Vision programme, WALDO will fund the cost of a pair of prescription glasses with every pair of its blue light glasses sold. It will also fund sight-saving trachoma treatment with every purchase of its hydration drops, and with every annual contact lens subscription, it will help to support a cataract operation for someone at risk of blindness.

WALDO expects to be able to donate US$1 million to the programme over the next three years.

The company aims to provide high-quality eyecare products without high costs by shipping directly to customers from its factories.

WALDO founder and CEO Ashleigh Hinde said: “At the core of WALDO’s mission is to make eyecare accessible for all and we are so proud to make this a reality through our work with Sightsavers.”

The partnership between Sightsavers and Waldo ended on 1 March 2024.
