This half marathon route is flat and fast, making it ideal for beginners and those chasing that personal best.

The course takes you past some of the city’s spectacular scenery and iconic landmarks, including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Cardiff Civic Centre and the stunning Cardiff Bay.

You can also expect huge crowd support, with thousands of spectators turning out to cheer on runners.

You’ll need to be quick if you want to secure your place in this popular event. General entries for the 2025 Cardiff Half Marathon sold out at record speed, which means charity places are one of the few ways you can still take part.

How to register

You can sign up to run for Sightsavers by completing the online registration form on the Run for Charity website. The entry fee is £31.20, and we ask runners to raise £300 for our vital charity work.

Your run, your impact

The £300 you raise could pay for three cataract operations for children at risk of sight loss.

If you’ve already signed up for this event, you can still fundraise for us. Before you become a Sightsavers fundraiser, you need to have confirmed your place with the race organiser. This means registering directly and paying your registration fee.
