Last year was a busy year for Sightsavers:
- 15,087,120 people were seen by our local partners
- 8,080,696 people were treated
- 350,323 eye operations were performed
- 23,146,596 people were protected against river blindness in Africa
- 152,585 primary eye care workers were trained
- 4,577 blind people were trained in mobility, orientation and life skills to lead independent lives.
- 6,315 visually impaired children got support to attend mainstream schools
